The Erotic spell of myth and tales: the story as a lover wooing you.
How a modern Native American hunting story I loved became an all encompassing myth we all could live by.
A personal account of my journey surrendering to the calling I heard within a modern Native American hunting tale as told to me by a Navajo medicine man. I fell in Love with his story in an instant, yet it took me 20 years of apprenticeship to the story itself where I allowed “her” lead me in “her” subtle ways; hard years of ‘carrying the story’ hunting in the wilderness of Colorado, chasing elk with no results until, as promised by story, the elk adopted me. In the talk I expose how fidelity to a simple story can bloom into a full fledged myth, both ancient and new, to give us all a sorely needed individual and collective blueprint to live in accordance with Nature.

A workshop on re-watering our mythological intelligence and capacity to learn how to be adopted by a ‘grander-than-I’ story and become its carrier in the world: how a story you love can become a myth you live by.
A day-long immersion through a myth by the Latin poet Ovid, a modern Native American hunting tale, and an old Irish story: three perspectives on our relationship with the Holy in Nature and the path to become a ‘story carrier’.
